14 lectures + 0 labs = 1 credit

This course will explore the relationship between well-being and professionalism, acknowledging how challenging the human condition can be at different times for all of us. At this intersection, individuals integrate practices and attitudes that foster physical health, mental resilience, and emotional intelligence while maintaining high standards of performance, ethical conduct, accountability, and continuous growth.

As a veterinary student, developing and honing skills that will help you achieve a harmonious balance between these elements will enable you to better thrive both personally and professionally, now and as a veterinarian in your working environment. While complex and multifaceted, key topics (as listed below) found at the intersection of well-being and professionalism will be explained, discussed, experienced, and reflected upon. This semester will focus primarily on the self. PLS II continues building on skills and knowledge so you can be your best when interacting and communicating with others.
