The LMU-CVM graduate programs each have specific admissions requirements and policies, which are outlined in detail within the General LMU Graduate Catalog. For specific requirements for each program, please refer to the Graduate Catalog, available here.
Additionally, all LMU-CVM graduate programs (degrees and certificate) require all applicants to complete the PostbacCAS application with the PostbacCAS fees paid, submit official transcripts via PostbacCAS for all institutions at which coursework was attempted or completed, submit program-specific personal statements or statements of intent, letters of recommendation, and CVs. Some programs may require additional documentation to prove licensure or credentials. Refer to the LMU Graduate Catalog for specific admissions requirements for each program.
Matriculation Process
Seat Deposit
Upon each accepted applicant’s admission decision notification, a $250.00 non-refundable seat deposit will be assigned to the student’s MyLMU account. This deposit will be applied to the cost of the student’s tuition for the semester. Seat deposits must be paid by the designated date provided in their acceptance packet; students can pay the seat deposit via their MyLMU account. Information on how to access the student’s email address and log into MyLMU are included with the acceptance packet.
LMU-CVM Graduate New Student Registration and Advisement
After matriculation, LMU-CVM graduate students are invited to attend a New Student Registration (NSR) with the Director of Graduate Programs, which will occur before the start of the student’s designated term (virtually or in-person). The NSR session provides students with critical information for progressing through the program and will include enrollment for the student’s start term. The NSR is mandatory.
Incoming PhD VBMS students will be assigned a Research Mentor who serves as their advisor and chair of their Graduate Advisory Committee.
